On The 14th of November the COE had the pleasure of being part of a new project launch from genU- Karingal and St Laurence, with their Job Shadowing and Workable programs.

The group of enthusiastic clients entered the building with such excitement that our staff and students knew we had a day of laughs and fun ahead of us. This was an understatement!
What a joyous day it was!

Our five genU participants, were eager to soak up a day in the life of a COE student, or staff member. They listened and asked questions and were happy to learn as much as they could. The hair students got busy with giving them fresh washes and styles, make-up was applied by our beauty girls, and two ladies had such blissful massages, they seemed to float back down stairs when they were finished.
They learnt to practice the art of applying nail polish to mannequin hands, design their own makeup palette, and our WorkAble girl, Michelle, was wonderful in the admin and reception duties she was given.

The COE would like to applaud genU for the launch of this remarkable and welcomed program. Thanks for once again allowing us to be a part of our community in such a positive way!

OCTOBER 19TH

Another amazing day with the COE students pampering up a group from Baclinks. What a delight it always is to show these women how wonderful they are! Our marketing manager, Jacqui had the opportunity to inspire these lovely ladies with a talk on being the best they can be.

NOVEMBER 7TH – Geelong sidewalk Sales

For years now the COE has had the honour of running a pamper tent in the Sidewalk Sales on Melbourne Cup Day. As usual, our tent was packed with enthusiastic patrons ready to enjoy a new do or a new set of nails or massage. We love our Pamper tent-its free and a whole lot of community fun!
